How to Help

2018 Sponsorship

Adopting vs Fostering

Lake Erie Islands Nature & Wildlife Center has been fundraising to build an addition to the center. We have built the porch, and now need to move forward on the much needed library and expansion of the inside exhibit space. We have been offered an exciting challenge to raise funds for completing the second phase. A very generous anonymous donor has offered to match funds we raise in 2018 up to $60,000.00. Our director, Jackie Taylor, is working to find grants to help meet this challenge and the Wildlife Center will continue our fundraising events in 2018, which we hope you will support, but more is needed. We, the members of the board, are appealing to you, our friends, to consider making a donation to the building fund so we can meet this challenge.
The cost of the building addition is $177,289 and we have $34,817 in our Building Addition Fund after the back porch project. We are in need of $142,472 to complete this project.
Remember, every dollar you give is matched up to $60,000. Your donation is worth double the amount you send to us. Please complete the form on the top of this letter and return it with your donation. Thank you for your consideration of this direct appeal.
